I love how the yellows and reds contrast together. The set reminds me of a coral snake in the grass.
We went off to this nature preserv e on a beautiful Fall day. Maybe 100ft away families walked by, but the bushes and tree cover was so thick I didn't worry. Unless someone had the intention of going off trail in the same spot, we were alone. It's weird to be so close to people but hidden. People don't seem to really look around them too often. They're busy in their own worlds and connections. All the better for me.
Though it reminds me of a time I modeled in Denmark in a park. Although we were quite far away, a family picnicked in the same park. While I was laying in some ferns and horse rider on a horse galloped up. She had a conversation with the photographer in Danish. Maybe she was saying we better gtfo, but the photographer didn't seem disturbed, I wasn't yelled at, and we didn't pack up to leave right then. She rode away, and we continued shooting. At the time I wasn't sure what to do. I hadn't thought about the nudity laws in Denmark. I hoped to be quiet and sitll enough the rider would gallop past us and not notice me. I don't think she was bothered.
I don't know why it can't always be like that. We see people shooting bridal all the time. Imagine if people saw the curtain behind nude shoots? The normalacy and routine of it in a similar way I might shoot fashion. Maybe they wouldn't care so much if the mystery wasn't there. But maybe it's the same as acting, and if people saw the transformation between model and human. It'd take away from the fantasy in the photo.
