Coming up with new ideas
Added 2020-12-29 17:51:14 +0000 UTCI still have more photos to post from self portraits and other shoots over this last year for January. I don't know how much I'll be traveling for the next few months. COVID has me cautious for many reasons. With the spikes people become a lot more frightened of booking, cancellations are higher from people getting sick, and I'll feel uncomfortable with being a possible spreader of the illness. As soon as the outlook gets better, Ill be right off to traveling. Hopefully in the summer, but I'm not sure about counting on that just yet. While it looks like the vaccine is working, I want to see how well it gets distributed and what happens next. I say all this knowing that I am getting anxious with cabin fever. There is so muhc I can create from home, but I miss my friends and the people I work with when I travel. Seeing the world and humanity makes me feel grateful.
I've had some thoughts about what direction do I want to go in in 2021. I know it won't develop as planned because my ideas will grow. I want to focus on more developed self portraits (like I use to), I want to share my experiences traveling (so I can share those feelings I find and maybe inspire others to feel the same love of the world), and I want to focus on modeling. I've spread myself so thin, and I had a sit about what do I not like doing. Honestly, photography. I don't mind it ocassionally. I like macro photogrpahy and landscapes. Sometimes, I like self portraits (the wrestling with technology gets to me). I don't mind taking photos of my friends because it's just fun. I don't really want to go much further in that though.
Modeling feels like dancing or acting in a way. I like doing the physical action of it. I feel all the emotions in my body and feel a wholeness. I don't have that same feeling in photography. I also really want to focus on other things that have made me happy in the past like music and writing.
Anyway, thanks for joining me here on Patreon. I'm still trying to improve this platform. I think I've had Patreon for almost a year. Suggestions and comments are great. How can I share what people want to see? I love getting to share all the photos from a shoot here rather than a few that I post on social media. I love being able to create some figure drawing references. Is there an interest for prints? More behind the scenes? I created a Onlyfans recently where I really feel like I can show people more about myself and more behind the scenes of where I work. The video features are so nice there compared to here. It's still free to check it out too
