I did these edits

I was inspired to finally do some of these edits after another shoot with Griffin. Yesterday he took me to a waterfall. He asked ahead of time if I was okay with intense hiking. Not a problem for me. I didn't realize what I'd agreed to. It was an adventure and fun and one of those moments I wished I could share. It's one of those adventures I wouldn't have thought I'd get into except since I started modeling. It's one of the reasons I love modeling and started to love modeling. Over the years I've grown more self conscious about my body and picky over my photos. When you've modeled a lot, you become more geared about to perfect your art. The experiences and surprises I've gotten from modeling continue to inspire me.

Yesterday wasn't just an intense hike in the sense I'm use to. This time last year I hiked 19miles to a light house in Ireland. Yesterday, I climbed through the limbs of short, tightly woven trees. The ground was steep and muddy. There wasn't enough grip to be able to walk along the ground. Even if there was, I'd be beaten with layers of limbs on all sides. The easiest way through was to climb in, around, under, over, etc the limbs of these trees.  Many times we climbed near the river, only to find we hadn't reached the waterfall yet, but steep slanted rocks encasing a rushing creek. Maybe it's a river, but it wasn't wide like you'd think of most rivers. It was barely 6ft across in most places.  Griffin swiftly moved through the forest. I slowly calculated my way through the maze, trying not to hold on to a dead branch or grip a briar.

The waterfall was stunning. Roughly 30ft tall. Beautiful, slippery, cascading. all the right words. Without gear, I could only really climb it 5ft on one side.  The water was cold as fresh water always seems to be *sigh*. Great on a hot day.

This location, from the shoot I'm posting, I found from on of my google map searches. I had dragged my friend around the mountains a month earlier to find a beautiful view. We were blocked by trees constantly. After I'd tormented her enough, I decided I'd try a bit more internet scouting. With how big the world is, google maps has been a great way to narrow down a few locations to visit. Sometimes they turn out great and sometimes I find something better along the way. In Andrews, NC, a farm set aside some land into a nature reserve. It isn't a lot of different scenary, but it was beautiful. A little area in the valley, surrounded by mountain ranges. This valley grew fields of flowers, and behind some trees was a shallow, but rapid river. Great for shooting and fishing. Griffin had arrived early and found this cornfield behind the river. I took care to step on the trails through the corn. I'd hate to mess up someone's work.

There are a lot of photos from this shoot so expect to see more this month. If you like hearing these stories, I like telling them, so let me know in the comments
