Lately, they've started taking down my favorite shooting locations in Athens, Ga where I'm based. This includes an abandoned cotton field less than twenty minutes from my house! Meanwhile, I'm looking for houses in Athens, GA (because I might become a home owner soon!!!) and they've all been renovated and flipped, but are so ugly I'm surprised people buy them. It might just be my aesthetic doesn't mix with this current culture I live in. To be fair it is 21st c USA and in rural-ish Georgia. I might be looking in the wrong places. Someone out there is probably relieved. I love flowers, grown over buildings, and abandoned nature. I love having a place amid the city to remember I'm still on Earth. I love taking photos on the side of the road in a field of wildflowers, creatively having to hide that I'm next to traffic. I enjoy to little touches of daffodils springing up along the high ways. Places on the side of the road are my favorite shooting locations. I still have some rivers and parks in the area that I'll cherish. I get more impatient for my own house so that I can start my own oasis.
