First Creative Self Portrait- The Human Candle

This was one of the first editing projects I gave myself and then hid it away out of fear once again that they weren't good enough, that I only liked them because I'd done them. Well it's almost 2.5 years later. I'm impressed with my former self. I've grown, but I envy the creativity and experimentation of my beginnings. I don't know that I've lost it though. I just challenge myself harder, but maybe art isn't about the constant challenge. It's about creating, and sometimes that is a challenge.
Here are three views of this image. It starts with a small fire, the fire grows and burns, and then the fires starts to smoke out. I may put these on instagram at some point if they fit in the app's cropping.
I did this by hanging over the back of a chair and holding my hair over a salt rock lamp. The camera had an extremely slow shutter speed. Everything else was done on photoshop.
