Futurama's Lee Lemon Runs the MDP-9 (feat. John McClane) (ad-free)

It's time for the annual Halloween PCC/shotgun match! By popular demand, I went as Futurama's Lee Lemon this year, with the Angstadt Arms MDP-9 PCC. Since the last time I was shooting it, I've gotten a replacement bolt hold-open to hopefully fix the failures to lock open, and a Wilson Combat "Tactical Trigger Unit" to replace the stock FCG. That new trigger is really good, but unfortunately the replacement hold open actually made things worse - I had several times when the bolt locked open on a loaded magazine, and it still didn't lock open the one time I ran the magazine dry.

Overall, I placed 24th of 68 shooters, and my friend Jordan (running as shoeless John McClane with an H&K SP-5) placed 14th.

That took a lot of brains, and a lot of...chutzpah

Well, Lee Lemon was only in one episode.

I can't recall knowing of ANY of these characters? And I have seen a few dozen episodes of "Futurama". Perhaps I could do a "Simpson's Brutality match" as Kodos, using a stick with a nail in it??? Sigh. Old. Possibly senile.

Yeah - I used a spray can on my hair, and a coloring cream on the mustache and beard. Definitely had to get help, and it was not nearly as effective as I would have hoped. If also turned my hat and back of my shirt purple, and made my fair really gross and crunchy. :) On the bright side, it washed out easily enough...

Was it the spray temp colour stuff? I did white in my hair for Geralt of Rivia this year and it took two cans of the stuff, it still didn't 100% cover everything and I needed a second person to help

GreenRuin

Never heard of Lee Lemon. I always thought you looked like Aramis.

The Glock magazine ARs are very popular because the magazines are prolific and affordable. I have seen several, including one of my own, that had reliability problems like you had. The diagnosis on all units came down to the feed angle of the mag and force of the AR bolt are in conflict. Once I switched over to Colt-pattern mags and mag well, no more problems. Why? The Glock mag is double stack, single feed and designed to work in the grip of a pistol. The Colt-pattern is a proper steel double stack, double feed sub gun mag.

Nice, but I miss the windup reload playing Pop Goes the Weasel.

barefoot on gravel? nah thanx. there was the miami classic with a 92 missing. uhem. for sure rather shotgun. pistol caliber carbines would rather be a lever action to me.

He's a real man's man. He's a man's man's man.

You’re my kind of soldier, Lemon. A foul mouthed, barrel chested, beer bellied pile of ugly muscle!
