How's It Made: A Giant Machine That Make MG Links (Ad-free)
Added 2022-10-11 13:00:07 +0000 UTCWhen I got a tour of Arex Defense in Slovenia, one of the really neat things I saw (which I had not seen elsewhere before) was a machine for making MG links. It's a single really long piece of hardware where a spool of sheet steel goes in one end and hardened links plop out the other end, with just tempering and surface treating still needed.
I thought it would be a cool subject for a short video, walking you through the process from one end to the other...enjoy!

Has anyone else noticed there has to be some individual who walks in the camera shot when Ian is talking at a factory?!?

2022-10-12 16:57:04 +0000 UTCtrue though there are old designs as mg36/42/3 pkm fn mags OR things like that knights constant recoil iwi negev.... as each has links of its own maybe worth considering. for old ones you're right. my sks runs with lousy chincom dirty sh... better than with brass fresh ammo.
