The Roach - Concept Renders 01

A while ago I mentioned in a tweet about couples of vastly different  body heights, that I am really interested in pursuing a different  storyline than the "Giants and the City" story I've been neglecting for  far too long anyway. It would be the somewhat stereotypical story of a  girl finding her boyfriend mysteriously shrunk.

But unlike  what you usually see with this kind of premise, she wouldn't instantly  turn into a sadistic monster that would give the Cenobites a run for  their money or be so oblivious to him that you would think she has the  eyesight, hearing and sense of touch of your average doorknob :P

She  still loves and cares about her now rather helpless and dependent  boyfriend and the couple has to figure out their new situation.

Anyway,  that's just a brief rundown and I would like to hear from you what you  think of it before I pursue this concept further.

Check out my GumRoad Store gumroad.com/unseenharbinger! Lots of goodies there!

Go follow me on Twitter: @UnseenHarbinger! I tend to publish WIPs and other stuff there, which I don't tend to upload anywhere else (because I'm lazy).

Oh no, I would never scrap GATC, just maybe take a break from it, to clear my mind :)

Well it really depends too. Do you plan to scrap giants and the city and move on to this. Or would they both be happening as comics. Whatever you decide I'm supporting

Indeed, me too!

This is something I'd like to see continued. I honestly like story lines where a partner is shrunk only to have the bigger person take care of them. So cute. I hope it's received well

It's definately less taxing on my computer :D the clouds and atmospheric effects of the last renders with the drenics really pushed my machine to the absolute limit. I had to cut several corners to make the grainyness disappear. This size is much more manageable and it's incidentally the same size-difference as between mids and humans (or mids and drenics for that matter :D )

I like this idea. I also like the size difference displayed in this picture -- small enough that she's still enormous to him, but not so much that interaction is pretty much impossible. (And maybe it'll make it a bit less taxing on your computer?)
