Out of the blue

There are things in life, you just don't see coming. You go to see the doctor and expect him to write a recipe and send you on your way with a pat on the back and a friendly "That'll go away soon."
Instead you hear him say one of the worst things a doctor can possibly say to you and you can tell by his face that only 30 years of experience keep him from freaking out right now.
I never thought life would throw me such a curveball. And I don't know how to deal with it right now. I need to have a surgery next week and it's not a small, simple one.
The only positive thing right now is, that the surgery is likely to succeed, but still...
Starting Monday next week, I will be away for a week at least. But I queued a few pictures for you, so this site doesn't go completely silent.
