I love the Modiste fight and the wedding is beautiful, although I have two parts of it that drive me nuts every time I watch it: (1) when Colin first enters the room with Kate and Anthony, he says what are you doing here, yet we saw them return in ep 5 and we didn't hear they'd gone to the country house, so Kate saying Violet called them in early makes no sense. I assume a line was cut somewhere saying they'd gone to the country house, otherwise him being surprised they are there makes zero sense. I love that scene so I hate that this annoys me each time! (2) the wedding dance is beautiful, but the random cut towards the end of it to the horrid debutante that was nasty to Pen and gossiped about her really irritates me!

2025-05-19 03:00:26 +0000 UTCThe only part of this episode that still bothers me every time is Anthony taking his visibly pregnant wife on a ship to India for months. After witnessing his mother almost die while giving birth to Hyacinth, there’s no way Anthony risks Kate or their first child that way, he’s too much of a control freak. I know he’s supposed to have softened with Kate, but it still feels out of character. I know they needed to write them out of the rest of the season, but have them go to Aubrey Hall to prepare for the baby or something.
