I was so excited to watch your reaction to this one! I actually own a couple of the costumes and props from this episode, as well as a few props from the last episode. They came from a charity auction that benefited fighting the overdose epidemic.

The lawsuit against the Usher family is similar to the real life lawsuit against the Sackler family and Purdue Pharma and their role in the OxyContin addiction.

2024-09-29 08:32:25 +0000 UTCMasque of the Red Death is an Edgar Allan Poe story about a man named Prospero who is terrified of dying of the "red death," which is killing people in the place where he lives. So he throws a party for all of his rich friends while everyone else is outside dying. Then this person who is dressed as a peasant who has the "red death" shows up with a mask and Prospero runs after them and takes the mask off, but there's nothing there. And then, he and everyone at the party dies.

2024-09-26 02:25:37 +0000 UTCGuys, watch carefully. There are so many Easter eggs in this show from HUSH all the way up to Midnight Mass. Each episode is named after one of Edgar Allen Poe stories. This is NOT the story "The Fall of the House of Usher" in the true sense of the original Poe story. I'll give you one hint. Listen to Carla Gugino character introduce herself to Roderick and his sister. Then switch the letters around. And just my opinion... But Kate Siegal (Flanigan's Wife) looks amazing in this show. This will be my 4th time watching, because I couldn't without hearing your commentary. Thanks for this.
