The Path to Destiny

Joaquin was sitting by himself one night, talking to himself. At least, it appeared that way. He was really talking to the soul that now lived inside him, Joanie. He admitted that he felt a little strange lately, as if he wasn't himself.

"Uh, I think I can explain that one, hun," said Joanie as she listened to him.

"Yeah? How are you gonna explain my feeling moody lately and craving the strangest foods?" replied Joaquin.

"Well, you see, when I tried assimilating you, you noticed that your body changed a bit, right?" she said in response.

"Yeah, my hips got bigger and my ass got a bit more plump, but I stayed the same, right?" he pondered.

"Well, that's not all that changed..." said Joanie in as innocent a tone as she could.

He prepared for the worst as he listened to her explain everything.

"You see, some of my hormones and organs assimilated into your body. Mostly...you now have female parts in you. See, while I inhabit your body and it's still you, there's still bits of me around. We just never noticed it til now.." she explained.

"Why only NOW are we noticing it?!" he exclaimed, worried at what she might say next.

"Well...you have a high libido...I have a high libido....we fucked.....you came inside me....and..." she trailed on.

"WE'RE FUCKIN' PREGNANT?!" He screamed in disbelief.

"YEP! WE ARE!" she screamed in a happier tone.

"This is bullshit! How am I gonna have a baby?! I'm a guy!!" he panicked.

Joanie just reassured him and offered her help, "Well, if ya like, I could take over for a bit... "

"And how would that even work?" he questioned.

"Just let me take you over for the remaining months! Please?!" she begged him, ensuring she wouldn't take advantage of the situation and would only be doing this as a favor to him.

"Ugh, fine... I'd rather not be a pregnant guy walking around with a bloated belly.." declared Jojo as he slowly faded and Joanie began taking form. 

His body was covered by Joanie's darkness for a moment and what was revealed afterward was a female body. While Joaquin and Joanie looked vastly different, this fusion resembled Joaquin more than Joanie.

"We'll make up a reason why you're not around...I'll say I'm your sister or something like that..." said Joanie.

"We need to come up with a name for this form, though." said Joaquin, now inside his own mind...HER own mind.

"How about Josephine?" said Joanie as Joaquin then interjected.

"What about Joanna?!" he shouted.

She paused for a moment and giggled as she drank in the sight of her new body, making note of her much sharper eyes and fine eyebrows. "You really thought about this before, didn't you?" she said.

"Yeah...bad thing?" he admitted.

"Nope, not at all. Joanna it is. We're gonna be Joanna when I'm driving. Deal?" she asked.

"Deal.." he responded

"So, we're far along enough that I can tell this is gonna be a girl....got any names planned?" asked Joanie as she looked at herself in the mirror.

"Yeah....Destiny.." responded Joaquin as a smile formed on Joanna's face.
