Another Day In Paradise / Kolejny Dzień W Raju : early viewing

This is one of the more nostalgic songs for me. I remember that I had the "...but seriously?" cassette (haha, now you know why I made the "Retro Poland Vol.1" cover art like that!) in my late Fiat Seicento . I listened to it on repeat for many years and the first song - "Another Day In Paradise" was always so great. I remember getting back from rehearsals when I was much younger and just sitting in the car in the parking lot, smoking and listening to this song. It was a song that made me dream of a brighter future. Every time something happened, this song was my "oasis". I parked, lit up a cigarette and just listened to it while the tape warbled. There were times that some of my friends joined me in this activity. We would just sit in my car, look at the night sky and talk for hours about pretty much anything. Life was different back then, I can't say that it was better or worse. Just different. I was totally broke, living with my parents. Everything I did with the bands I played in ended totally insignificant and my dreams were the only thing that kept me going. I think that a hefty chapter of my life could just be called "Another Day In Paradise". So much memories and raw emotions. What's even more jarring is that it was more than 10 years ago... Time flies so fast. All in all, it's great that I quit smoking, lol. Sorry for the little essay, but I had to.
