Women's Sex Toys vs Men's Sex Toys

Sometimes, you go fishing in the creative wellspring and fish up something ugly. But what are you gonna do, go hungry? Sigh. More sex jokes, I guess.

Like with all of these sorts of comics, these observations are largely anecdotal. That being said, the vibrator-gun comparison does actually appear to have some truth to it, though finding reliable sources of data for the former is difficult.

Real heads may remember that my pen name comes from the old podcast Podtoid. There’s an episode where the two hosts stumble upon a sex toy called the ‘Flip n’ Fuck Me’, which was a silicone ass with a small pair of legs and feet protruding from it, presumably for all the foot freaks out there. You can still find images of it, if you google it. Go ahead, I won’t judge you.

Horrifying. It’s the kind of thing that Leatherface wouldn’t even fuck. And of course, there are loads of similar “butchered corpse” style sex toys out there, with equally crude names and equally grotesque collages of female organs. Look, you want to buy one of this little red Tenga deals? Fine. Cool. I’m a sex-positive enough guy, I think. But I’m sorry, any of these things that make a serious effort to emulate the female form just come off as— for lack of a better word— rapey. Is that a progressive view, or a reactionary one? I dunno, but I also don’t think it’s really a big deal, so whatever.

For what it’s worth, dragon dildos seem cool. You kinda get the best of both worlds, in terms of abstraction and anthropomorphism, especially since traditionally, dragons combine human levels of intellect and refinement with animalism that is powerful and ferocious. Plus, your sex toy comes with it’s own in-world lore, I think, which would add another fantastical and psychosexual element to play around with.

Damn. At the beginning of that paragraph, I was fully prepared to just pull a condescending “aww, how nice of you if you like that. If I was a woman, and way more pathetic, like you are, maybe I could see myself buying one of these” but I now find myself genuinely kind of fascinated with the concept, creatively and philosophically speaking. Dark fantasy worldbuilding… abberrant psychosexual demihuman character designs… wieners… maybe I have a second career waiting for me, if I ever get tired of comics— or at the very least, some creative ideas for GUE merchandising.
