Maybe, the cheerleaders made her skin colour paler because every other girl on the squad seems to have a darker skin tone than her, so they needed to cover all of their bases. Maybe, the white, blonde, blue-eyed cheerleader stereotype exists for a reason. Maybe, they have a history of catching attention or standing out (since blonde hair, blue eyes and white skin are all recessive genetic traits and only a minority of women have them, ~2%, ~8-10%, ~6-8%, respectively). Maybe, just maybe, the artist likes / identifies with sexy, white, blonde, blue-eyed female characters. She IS meant to be the distraction, after all. I was distracted.
