Futomomo with Scalpel Priestess
Added 2025-06-26 14:00:04 +0000 UTCThis was the last location shot of the day from my collaboration with @tomofswedenshibari and @scalpellpriestess. Tom had done all the rope rigging for another shoot earlier (which should be posted soon), and he asked the model if she was up for doing a Futomomo (suspension from one leg) from that set.
I set up a smoke machine at the rear and a flash on the floor at a low output to create light and shadows, which gives it a more industrial feel. This also creates a lighter background so the black rope is visible instead of merging into a dark background.
For the main light, I used a 2' Octobox with a grid to restrict the light as much as toward the center isle and dampened the sides a bit more in post-production.
