The first time I shot with Roarie, we did some location and studio shots, which are among the ones we created.
I still love the first studio shot; the streak of sun gives it an edge, whereas the other two are nice but nothing more.
I still love the first of the outdoor images, and from memory, it's one of the first images I entered into some competitions (where I won some gold medals).
The anemone flowers in the outdoor images are short-lived in Denmark, usually in mid-April. They pop up for about two weeks and then wither as soon as the trees get leaves.
I had hoped we could shoot, so I prepared with towels, a waterproof picnic blanket, and some wellingtons for Roarie.
The foilage is super wet because of the dew, and ticks often lurk around.
It was about 12 degrees centigrade, but as there was no wind, Roarie was game to give it a go.
And yeah, we did inspect for ticks afterward.

Helpful hint about ticks:
If you can get hold of an adhesive lint roller (used to remove dust, etc., from clothing), it works great for ticks. Roll up and down the legs a few times and rip off the outer layer of adhesive. It’ll usually peel off ticks not fully embedded in the skin yet.
The last image with the funky Bokeh is a Lomo Petzval 85mm, which I tweaked to give it a tin-type look. I liked the tintype look back then, but it doesn’t appeal to me today.
