Sometimes I like to play with conventions, and here I wanted to do the opposite of my normal go-to editing:
Instead of darkening the background to draw attention to the model, I decided to go high-key and make the greenish hay bales almost white so they would become insignificant design elements.
Elements that are just there as a prop for the model to play on.
I had some ideas about creating more “from above” shots, but it didn’t work out. Krisowitz ended up getting dizzy from having her head down, so plan B:
Echo shapes between model and background.
1/500 sec ƒ8 (for these I wanted to make sure I had enough depth of field.
