Too much time between updates

I'm fine with the waiting time. My problem is when we wait a lot and the episode is 15 minutes of gameplay. I understand deciding to split it into two, because it was getting big. I don't mind that. i mind calling the rest of the episode, an episode of itself. Like I can't remember if it was Episode 4 of Season 3. It should have just been called Season 3 Episode 3 Part 1 and then Part 2. Just releasing it as two parts, not even the game mentioning it as Part 1 and Part 2. Instead they are called Episode 3 and Episode 4, so the disappointment is bigger that way.

2024-02-05 06:53:37 +0000 UTCAs a historical painter I always have to tell people, quality takes time. If you want it done quick hire someone else, but its not going to be anywhere near the quality I will provide.

2024-02-04 08:31:48 +0000 UTCAs long as the games is good I’m fine with whatever. The wait never let me down before so I know it won’t let me down now. ❤️

2024-02-03 22:21:46 +0000 UTCI prefer quality over speed. With that said, it seems like each dev cycle gets a bit longer. IMO, there will be a point where your brand benefits from establishing an upper limit to the time/update and if this means your intended episode is broken into two parts, I am fine with that. I don't know if you have established that upper limit yet, but I think it is worth considering and, perhaps asking your supporters their thoughts once you are ready to entertain implementing this concept.

2024-02-03 22:05:50 +0000 UTCQuality is what matter, however I may be the only one here but I don't see a single difference in this game the first episodes were as big as the recent ones, not to mention they were better and monthly, hot take but it's my take.

2024-02-03 18:32:55 +0000 UTCyour skill shows in this game, if your feeling like your letting us down provide non spoiler renders now and then with your update status. Just DONT flake on us. We wait for great games as long as progress is proven and contact with developer is not cut off. Ps: this doesn't mean you can take forever" being a dik" takes almost a year or more between eps and its fan base is strong.

2024-02-03 18:00:09 +0000 UTCI also think quality should be paramount but let me play the Devil's advocate and say that you should *not* take as much time as you like or you will certainly lose Patrons. I know you know tihs Jason, hence this poll, and it's a great way to know what your Patrons think about this matter. I actually voted option 2 (The time between updates is a bit annoying, but I'm fine with it) because I'm fine with an episode taking longer from time to time, I just hope it won't hapen too often. I also don't think that a monthly episode is worth it: the quality will suffer, the content will feel very short, etc. So if you aim for an episode every 2 or 3 months, with the ocasional longer update time, I'm OK with that. I'm also OK with not promising release times as that's usually pretty hard to calculate correctly. I would add that you keep us posted about the reasons for potential delays but you already do that wonderfully amd I'm truly grateful for that. Sorry for the long post and thanks for reading my $0.02 to this conversation :)
