Zamfir sacrifices herself to save a mother and child from Ratko, who is subsequently killed by Trevor using a special cross-shaped blade he took from the Underground Court. At the same time, Alucard, Greta, and refugees fight desperately against Germain's allies, but are eventually forced back into Dracula's castle.
