I heard the Evanescence song that was recorded for it, and I thought that would be it. I don't know why they would release it and hype it up the way they did without actually using it in the first episode.

I mean, I LOVE 2000's Nu Metal but it just seems like a random song put over an animation for an entirely DIFFERENT song! I did not enjoy the other DMC anime, but that opening song was a better fit IMO. I did chuckle a lot when Vergil showed up and you can hear quiet singing "I am the storm that is approaching..."
