Book Appendixes

Tonight I will be working on A Gladiator's Life chpater. I will probably go live on discord with the writing around 8pm and stay live for about an hour and half

someone suggested i add an appenidx at the back of the books. I started to pull together my notes and they are below as a draft. I think I might edit it to describe the attribute and then the feeling of consuming it is like. Not sure how consistent I have been in the books with awareness of essence effects on consumption.

Appendix A: Essences for Attributes

Physical Essences
Strength (Dark Purple) – This essence influences a person’s muscular strength. Most people who use it experience a brief warmth throughout their body, followed by a short period of fatigue.
Power (Dark Orange) – This essence influences the speed at which a person can contract their muscles, enabling harder strikes and better running speeds. When people consume this essence, they often experience a muscular burn and an electric sensation in their major muscles.
Quickness (Dark Green) – This essence will increase a person’s reaction speed. It enhances the nervous system, allowing people to react quickly to stimuli. Consuming this essence produces a tingling sensation throughout the body.
Dexterity (Dark Yellow) – This essence helps with body awareness and joint mobility. It is essential for mages learning to write spell forms and is important in physical acrobatics.
Endurance (Dark Blue) – This essence fortifies the consumer’s stamina and resistance to fatigue. Consuming this essence will give a person a brief rush of energy. It is quickly followed by moderate exhaustion.
Constitution (Dark Red) – This essence enhances a person’s resistance to disease and aging and speeds recovery from injury and sickness. Most people consuming this essence feel a warmth spreading from their stomach throughout their body and settling in their bones.
Coordination (Dark Pink) – This essence helps your mind multitask physical movements. Useful in fighting with two weapons, and writing out spell forms simultaneously with each hand. Most who consume this essence have a momentary out-of-body feeling.

Mental Attributes
Intellect (Light Purple) – This essence enhances memory and recall. Some people experience a migraine when consuming it, while others feel icy tendrils in their head.
Reasoning (Light Orange) – This essence enhances problem-solving and comprehension. Consuming this essence gives an intense clarity of thought for a short time.
Perception (Light Green) – This essence helps connect the mind to a person’s other senses: sight, sound, smell, and touch. There is a wide variety of reactions to consuming this essence, but all are associated with one or more of the senses.
Insight (Light Yellow) – This
Resilience (Light Blue) – Resilience is a person’s mental defense against both spell and mundane attacks. Aether resistance is much more effective against spells targeting the mind, but resilience can help.
Empathy (Light Pink) – This attribute gives a person an understanding of emotional needs and
Fortitude (Light Red) – This essence strengthens the mind against fatigue and stress.

Magical Attributes
Aether Pool (White Pearl) – This essence is capable of growing a person’s aether core. It can even be used to give a nascent core to people born as nulls. Most people consuming an aether pool essence will find the aether spreading through their body, before racing toward their core. These essences can be used as an effective aether restorative.
Channeling (Glossy Black) – This attribute is how strongly and quickly a person can pull aether from the environment into their aether core. Channeling essences are the only known way or repairing a mage’s burned aether channels.
Aether Shaping (Milky Gray) – This attribute is responsible for pulling aether from a person’s core and manipulating it. Extreme control is needed to be able to write out spell forms in the air.
Aether Tolerance (Clear) – This attribute directly affects how much aether a mage can channel before there is a risk of burning out their aether channels.
Aether Resistance (Sparkling Violet) – Aether resistance is a person or creatures resistance against magical influence and spells.  

Appendix B: Essences for Magical Affinities and their resonant gemstones

Rare Magics
Space – Labradorite Iridescent like a shifting galaxy, labradorite’s spectral colors evoke bending dimensions and folded skies.
   The essence sphere for space appears to contain folding mirrors inside that go on forever.
Time – Rutilated Quartz Clear quartz streaked with golden or red needle-like inclusions. The internal filaments look like captured rays of a sunset frozen mid-fall.
Displacement – Opal Its prismatic shimmer symbolizes distortion, transition, and misdirection. Opal is a portal-stone, refracting space like light through a lens. foggy white matrix with jumping flashes of light    
Materialism – Garnet Deep red and heavy, garnet embodies the weight of wealth and the blood of ownership. It grounds magic into matter and desire.
Worlds – Chrysocolla Blue-green, born of copper and earth — a harmonizer of elements and realms. It resonates between planes, symbolizing coexistence of worlds.
Void – Black Tourmaline A nullifying absorber of energy and light. Used for erasure, silence, or consuming spells — the gemstone of the endless dark. A dull black sphere that to appears to suck in the light
Convergence – Alexandrite Shifts from green to red under changing light, embodying duality and fusion. Perfect for nexus magic and harmonizing opposing forces.

Uncommon Magics
Charm (Mind) – Rose Quartz The crystal of love and persuasion. Its warmth disarms hostility, ideal for enchantments of empathy and influence. spiraling white and blue smoke
Illusion – Moonstone Soft, shifting light — it hides and reveals like a mirage. Illusionists favor it for crafting beauty and deceit. ever-shifting prismatic colors
Clairvoyance – Amethyst Stone of dreams and vision; said to open the third eye. Amethyst sharpens perception of unseen currents. oily surface - images come and go before you can focus on them
Protection (Guardian) – Tiger’s Eye Its golden sheen resembles a watchful pupil. A talisman of vigilance and courage that reflects harm back upon the attacker.
Necromancy – Obsidian Volcanic glass that mirrors the void between life and death. It channels ancestral spirits and captures lingering souls.
Celestial – Selenite Translucent and radiant, selenite channels divine moonlight. dark sphere with hundreds of twinkling lights (473)
Abyssal – Onyx Dark and smooth, onyx absorbs infernal energy without shattering. dark blood whirlpool         

Common Magics
Fire – Ruby Fiery red, symbol of passion and destruction. It stores heat like a living ember, channeling both creation and ruin. Liking flames inside
Air – Sapphire Deep azure clarity mirrors open skies and swift winds. Sapphires focus airy intellect, speed, and freedom of thought. azure blue with white swirls
Earth – Emerald Green heart of the world, emblem of endurance and fertility. It strengthens body and structure, the magic of growth and foundation. rich brown with swirls of gray
Water – Aquamarine Sea-colored clarity, gentle yet unstoppable. It carries tides of emotion, flow, and adaptability. Dark blue water
Lightning (Energy) – Topaz Golden and crackling with inner fire, topaz resonates with storms and pure kinetic force. It channels raw, volatile energy.
