Fan Fiction Vote Reset for Only Subscribers
Added 2025-09-16 13:56:20 +0000 UTCI was hoping the voting would bring in people from the Royalroad fan base without having them have to subscribe to the Patreon channel. Unfortunately, the voting turned into a Patreon proxie accounts. When I see a "Seth Hernandez" voting 4 times over two minutes (and none of those accounts joined the Patreon free sub list), I know things are fishy. Just so you know, I can pull a report with the Patreon name, email and the time the vote made and for which option that person voted. I was going to strike all the votes of people who at least didnt join the patreon, but I dont have time to do that.
I am resetting/restarting the voting so only those people who are paid members of the Patreon can vote which is not something I wanted to do, but I want the contest to be fair without ballet box stuffing.
Voting will now close a day later on Spetember 18th at midnight.

Thanks for doing this. Sorry it was such a headache. Not your fault if the first author or someone wanting him to win took advantage of the way Patreon works to add a hundred plus fake votes. That said, it should be your readers who decide and if this is the only way to do that then let the best one win.
