Castille probably will leave him alone so long as he does his job and doesn't start shit. She's the least of his worries by far and is mostly an ally willing to try and stick her neck out a bit to help him on occasion. Note how she tried to cover for him during the Mage's 'trial' until they forced the issue with a vote to check his storage space for the collector. She didn't have to do that. His big issue right now is the siege. The opposing army, so far, seems competent and prepared which is a seriously bad thing for a defending force to deal with. They're probably going to have to hope that they have a army ready to attack the siege force from behind. Which I think was sorta the plan all along but its one thing to say it and another to pull it off.
