Ultimate guide to wet palette

Comments

I made one, love it, same day I still ordered one. Thanks for the tip. Ive been using paper plates and wet paper towls for years adding parchment paper and an short tubberware container has been awesome in just a few short days. Very much loojing forward to my wet palette to arrive.

Thanks for replying! Yeah, I'll have to experiment a bit with the lid. I'm using a Raphaél size 1 or 2 most of the time. Size 0 for tiny details.

Hey, about the second part - it's really one of the toughest things because its so dependent on what colors you use, the moist levels in your rooms, the temperature etc. I have times during the year where i have to take new paint for every session, its either too dry or too wet after 24h in the box. And other times where it's super easy. Are you painting with a big brush? It took me a few weeks to really get the hang of the right wetness to the brush before adding the tiny dot of paint and stiring it in to the brush.

Love this tutorial Emil! I’m having some problems achieving glazes using the method you’re demonstrating in the video. It feels like the paint and brush doesn’t pick up enough moisture or something… I’m using the Everlasting palette btw. I thought I might have loaded the palette with too little water but I don’t think so. Also, it’s super hard to keep the right amount of moisture in the palette when you put the lid on and leave it over night. I haven’t found the right position of the lid to keep my paints from picking up too much moisture or have the thing dry up…
