Hey, just saw your controversy vid about people coming at you for your NFT. First off they are wrong. Yes, currently ETH uses Proof of Work consensus, which is highly wasteful compared to newer consensus mechanisms. Although, ETH is currently transitioning to Proof of Stake which is 99.9999% more energy efficient. Once that happens, there will be no argument for being "bad for the environment." ETH is a global decentralized settlement layer. In comparison, your bank is considered your financial settlement layer. To run all of its operations, your bank burns more fossil fuel and is less energy efficient than ETH is as a settlement layer. Because a lack of understanding of crypto, this gets overlooked. Apples to apples, your bank is a permissioned centralized service, while ETH is decentralized and permissionless and serves a global community. On top of that, uses less energy then banking services. All that being said, I am involved (helping to build) with a NFT platform called KodaDot, building on the Kusama network. We are a flourishing and growing community. WE ARE ALSO CARBON NEUTRAL. So all these stone throwers can settle down 😉 Anyways, sorry for the long post. Crypto (Web3) is where we will be heading as creators. It empowers us.
