Just for a bit of real world parallel, I had a ~2cm gallstone go "undiagnosed" for nearly 2 years through 6 hospitalizations. This description, shower and all to relieve the pain/minimize the nausea was my life for the duration. All over the bespoke wooden cupboards, the home my parents lovingly designed every inch of. I remember my brother walking in, taking a look, and saying "well you should probably clean that up" while I was on my hands and knees trying not to spread the shit MORE while sopping it up. He left pretty fast. An entire rug sopped up one section. It was thrown out. I had to stay close to the cute little half-bath we have on the first floor because somehow it kept coming. So much. Way worse than when I drank the water in Mexico and shat my leggings at my hot new boyfriends house.

Can relate pretty hard to Hunter's story about his dad scaring him. When I was a kid, we lived on 30 acres of land separated by woods through the middle. My parents and my aunts and uncles decided to scare the shit out of us kids (I was 5, my sister was 4, and the cousins ranged from ages 4-8.) They drove us to the back of the property and acted like the vehicle broke down in the middle of a path in the woods. We all heard coyotes howling and us kids didn't know how small coyotes are (plus we'd had beagles get killed by coyotes in the past) so we all thought the coyotes were going to come kill us. My dad grabbed his gun and walked off in the woods while my sister and I sobbed, thinking this mfer was going to be eaten alive. A little while later, he came out holding his stereo playing his coyote-calls cassette. It's like 26 years later but my sister and I both remember that night vividly. Our parents only sorta remember it and not enough to tell us which asshole came up with that idea.

I definitely think it’s okay to scare your kids for fun, but as parents you have to be able to deal with the consequences of scaring your kids without making them feel like they’re the one in the wrong. just wanna say i 100% disagree with Isaiah's take on Hunter's camping story from when he was a kid. His dad was a grown man, and an 8 year old still believes in Santa and is probably afraid to go outside in the dark already, let alone after hearing a scary story. Also, at 8 years old you have no perspective bc you haven't lived much life yet so losing your favorite shirt actually feels like a huge loss. And especially if you're in a situation where you know the parent you're with will get very angry at you for waking them up and asking them to walk you to the bathroom. I wish more stories were posted, I don't feel like the gaming posts or interviews aren't what most people sub to the patreon for outside of wanting to support Creepcast as a whole. I'm unfamiliar with patreon but it said exclusive content 2x a month but only saw a couple stories, but it was 4 months old at that point so I just figured it was Patreon's weird/frustrating way of formatting things making it difficult to find the other content. I saw the gaming stuff and thought there was no way that counted. So to clarify, I asked in the official, /r/creepcast subreddit about what stories were on the patreon to see if it was worthwhile to sub and it got removed for "asking questions about the patreon" which means there's no real info about the patreon until you actually sub to it. I just figured "exclusive content" in a story reading podcast would just mean "exclusive story reads" I feel like it can come off as a little dishonest that in the "support the patreon" ads you guys do, you make the Patreon sound like it's just more Creepcast, not an interview/gaming channel. I'm still happy to support you either way since I've watched the main channel vids probably 3 times each as background noise, though. Hope this doesn't come off as a troll, love your guys' dynamic and I'm glad to see you succeed. But I felt a little disappointed when I signed up to just see 2 stories. Hunter’s shitting story is the greatest story he’s ever told, I remember dying laughing when I heard it on Papa meat because the episode starts out as a generic spooky camping story and it just evolves into the saddest story of a kid shitting himself in the woods and his father progressively getting madder and madder at him. This story was deeply unsettling, viscerally uncomfortable and kind of relatable if you ever had a really bad stummy ache, we’ve all been there, and the idea of that pain not just lingering but intensifying and slowly leading to you pooping out all of your blood because parasites are eating you out from the inside is very creepy. I am glad to have spent 5 dollars on this Patreon, and I hope we can find a way to share this story with the poors.

So you feed your anxious kid a bunch of crap food, deliberately take a scary story too far, get the other child to join in on it, and an 8 year old boy is so scared he shit himself? That was abuse and bullying. Give me a break. To Hunter: You have every right to be upset and traumatized over that. Isaiah's reaction to you sharing something like this, initially in jest or not, is gross.
