Ten years of The Dude - Part Four: Mari Benson

Every girl group needs a sweetheart, and it's no difference for the cast of Lust Unleashed. In 2016, I had created Kayla, Yelena, Breanna, and Tatiana, which gave us two bimbo blondes and two black-haired vixens, each pair having one girl with a dick and one without. There was room to grow, and this was the same year that I made a new acquaintance in 3DX land who helped inspire the creation of LU's newest member at the time, Mari!

Some of you might remember that once upon a time, I would do article writing on Affect3D. I stopped doing that fairly early on in my career as a 3DX artist, but one of the articles I wrote caught the attention of Marie Fasolt. I specifically recall it being a stuff I'd written about why I loved bimbos and the colour pink, and there was something in there that spoke to her and lead her to contact me for a collab.

Marie Fasolt we know, of course, as a voice actor/writer for Girlfriends 4 Ever, as well as the same currently on Puppetmaster's projects and a myriad of other ones by a variety of A3D published folks.

We set out to concept the set that would eventually become All Our Secrets. Spoilers: it fell far short of her ambitions as well as mine, since in reality it was really just an image set and she had a far more narrative thing in mind and I was limited by technology as well as my skills in terms of what I could visualise. But nevertheless, we stayed in contact and are talking to this day!

The idea was the creation of a new pair of girls, both with cocks, who would fuck each other in front of an audience in a club setting. We wanted to really hit the voyeurism kink, but I ended up not really knowing how to render a crowd effectively without massively exploding render times. This was, after all, before smart denoising was a thing and renders would still take hours upon hours to crank out. The more people in a render, especially people in dim lighting, the more noise the image would have, the longer it would take to make it all go away.

One girl would be called Marcella. We're going to talk about her next. The other would be called Mari, in reference to Marie herself. The surname was one I had held on to since naming Breanna; recall that I named her after Breanne Benson.

After the release of All Our Secrets, 2017 was in full swing and I was moving on to my first big orgy set, ramping up slowly with The Urge to Explore where Mari raids Breanna's dressing room, adding Kayla who stumbles into Mari during The Desire to Submit, and then finally ending in The Bliss of Sin where Breanna and Tatiana join. Note that clearly none of this makes any sense in the current story. I had no idea who anyone was to anyone and the idea that Breanna and Tatiana were just hanging out at Breanna's place means I still had plenty of defining of these characters to do.

Mari has always hovered very close to a sissy fetish type of character. Where I created Marcella to be more self-assertive in how she develops as an individual, Mari from day one was designed to be extremely submissive and embracing of the fact that she's a sex toy made for other people's pleasure. I wanted to make extra sure that it was part of her character, that she enjoyed being this way, and didn't feel forced in any way.

Mari's life is about softness and femininity. Satins and silks. Bridalwear, veils, lacy lingerie, everything you think of. I've never quite gone all the way with it because I wasn't sure if I really wanted Mari to outright be a sissy. But you can definitely see in these earlier sets (and hell, even current ones) that there's a definite lean there.

I'm open to exploring this further, too, if you guys think that's interesting. Since, let's be honest, she's been on this trajectory ever since Pristine and later A Special Lady.

This was the first time that I had a real clear idea of where I wanted the relationship between Breanna and Mari to go. They were going to be girlfriends, with Mari being the submissive girly girl, and Breanna the bratty dominant type. Breanna had met Mari with Kayla's help, immediately fell in love, and decided to treat her new girlfriend to a special night of shopping at a Carter store. There, of course, she would re-acquaint with her college best friend, Taylor, who magically was also in Kayla's employ! Wow, it's almost like Kayla was mapping this all out on purpose to steer Breanna in a certain direction.

For years, Mari has sort of been in bridal limbo. As is maybe evident by the amount of times I've featured this veil in her renders :D It's honestly one of my favourite accessories and maybe became synonymous with Mari haha. It was very clear that the actual wedding needed to happen before I could move on with her as a character, so I think with current wedding set in progress, I'm gonna have the opportunity to do some cool new things with her.

For example, maybe Marcella invites her over to meet Nikki and Jessica? There's some stuff that we can do there!

There's so much I love about Mari. Her demure posture, her cute face, her big rounds tits, the way she deals with being a dickgirl, and the way she revels in all the sensations her body experiences without being outright lustful. Mari has a lot of buttons to push, but she's always waiting for someone to push them for her. Breanna is such a perfect match for her, but clearly Mari needs to get a chance to stand on her own two feet as well, just like Marcella.

Maybe it's time we get to know her a bit better. Maybe after the wedding, before she meets Nikki, we get to spend some time with her on her terms first. Wouldn't that be fun?
