News time! Social media manager, Reddit, and Patreon!

So now that I have your attention, I wanted to announce a few new things to ya. Time has come to tighten up this operation, which I thought I'd write a big informative post about. So, let's start with the biggest news that ties everything together:

Say hi to my new social media manager!

I'm super, super bad at the social media side of things, as I guess you guys have already figured out :P I don't update on Twitter nearly often enough, and a few months ago I started a subreddit that I haven't even advertised to you yet (we'll get to that in a bit), and was until a few days ago entirely devoid of content. My Slushe activity has also been so-so, when it could be way higher.

That's all going to change! I've hired a longtime friend of mine who goes by NorthernZest on Reddit to support me in all things social media. He's got a far greater eye for it than I do, and even in the last few days has already proven his worth. He'll be here on Patreon as well to help me run stuff, and I'll go into that in a bit as well. But first, say hi, and let's talk Reddit and overall social media expansion.

A brand new subreddit!

As an avid Reddit user myself, I figured it was high time to have a place on there for all my content. It can be a place for you to upload your favourite renders, discuss what you'd like me to make in the future, what I've made in the past, or anything else that comes to mind.

My presence on Reddit overall is fairly low though I notice that whenever I do post something myself, or someone posts some of my older stuff, it always gets massively upvoted. So there's definite traction there and probably worth exploring further. Of course my own subreddit can't be used to share full sets or anything of the sort, but all of you loyal patrons who are sitting on a swarm of stuff you've downloaded from here over the years, have plenty material to work with I think :D

Outside of no blatant piracy, the rules are pretty loose. We'll figure out what works and what doesn't as we go along. And of course NorthernZest is a mod there too!

Next to Reddit, you can also expect a higher frequency of posts on Slushe and on Twitter. Not that these would involve content that you wouldn't see here on Patreon first, but I'm just throwing it out there in case you guys feel like keeping an eye out and helping these posts do better.

A few changes to the efficiency of this Patreon page!

This is a fairly big one. Technically I've always had a rule on this Patreon that people who are in monthly subscription tiers (Curiosity up to Lust) have access to content as far as three months back, with a special exception for A3D sets (which can go back further). And then to have access to my entire backlog from today all the way back to the beginning, there's the Indulgence Tier.

Unfortunately I haven't always pruned that backlog as properly as I should've. This will now change. The Indulgence Tier is going to be properly filled out with everything Patreon-exclusive I've released in the past, and content older than 90 days is going to be either made exclusive to that tier or removed entirely. In the case of removed stuff, think text posts, announcement posts like this one, or teaser posts where I shared one or two images from sets I was producing at the time, and later were properly released.

It's always been my belief that it's unfair to the paying A3D customer or the person buying into the Indulgence tier that someone could sub for $10 and $15 and effectively get access to half a year or a year's worth of stuff. That value for money ratio is way out of whack.

The idea should be that if you're in a monthly payment tier, you'll basically always be up to date, and then somehow if you misplace a set you can always PM me for a download link, or I can just look at your lifetime support value. If that exceeds the price of the Indulgence tier, you get the link to above-mentioned Google Drive folder too. I'll be making a front-page graphic that properly explains this idea once and for all, lol.

So Zest and I will make sure that we're going to more effectively enforce my own rules.

Weight off my back, too!

Most importantly, this means I can focus on doing what I do best: creating content! Knowing that I have stuff to do that I'm not motivated about or don't care about enough can really undermine my productivity, and since it's your dollars paying for this whole operation, it was high time anyway that I hired someone else to run this show a little more efficiently. That way, we all stand to benefit!
