Someone is brazenly stealing my work, trying to make money off it.
Added 2019-12-13 12:49:29 +0000 UTCNow, this is the internet. I'm used to piracy. I'm used to finding my work ripped somewhere minutes after I post it on my own blog or on Affect3D. In fact, I'm pretty sure that for some (if not many) of you, you decided to come support me only after you discovered my sets on those piracy sites, and for that I can't thank you enough!
But this guy... this guy takes it to another level. He has already tricked six poor sods into giving him their money, because he just opened a Patreon where he's ripping off my work and Puppetmaster's work as well. It's literally just stuff I made and he's flatout claiming credit for it lol.
So let's stop him. Let's make sure Patreon knows this guy is a fraud and takes him down. I'm sending a DMCA report and Puppetmaster already has. If you guys can join me in doing the same, that'd be perfect. Here's how Patreon wants you to structure a DMCA email:

2019-12-15 12:05:46 +0000 UTCWell unfortunately this is the reality of the internet. I think an argument can be had that in some cases piracy might actually help. If my work is out there for free then yes I'm not being compensated, but the loss is in some way mitigated by people who enjoy my work and decide out of sympathy to support me. And that helps create a really loyal and dedicated fanbase that I can then rely on to keep doing what I do. The problem with this guy, obviously, is that he's soaking up those sympathetic fans. Every single one that thinks his blog is my blog and goes there to get scammed, so someone I've lost. Someone who is disappointed and isn't coming back. Someone who maybe misunderstands what even happened, and holds a grudge against me instead of that guy for being a scammer. And that's unfortunately also a reality of the internet, but it's a sad one.

I wish could have all the money he's stolen refunded to the people he's ripped off and get a criminal record for what he's done but I think he will get away with it unfortunately. I have reported it so here's hopping Patreon get lots of reports on him.

It's amazing that in the social media world we live in, someone would think they could do this and it not be noticed. I sent the e-mail as soon as I got home to the computer. I do notice on his patreon page that the list of his "works" has been removed since I first looked last night. I sincerely hope that they see this person for the fraud that they are and remove the whole page. What he's doing is theft, of your works and of other peoples money, pure and simple. And I agree with Raziel, "That's some next level disgusting sh*t"!
