Drum Patterns Explained: Pacific State by 808 State
Added 2023-06-20 15:05:46 +0000 UTCHello everyone! Just in time for the rising summer temperatures we bring you a very tropical new episode of "Drum Patterns Explained"! This was the winner of our last drum pattern poll and the different layers, swing amounts and of course the iconic sample 🦆 made it a perfect candidate for the series. Isn't it awesome how the percussion part sounds so strange on its own, but as soon as it's combined with the 909 it makes total sense?
A friendly reminder to blow out your computer's fans with compressed air once in a while (just remember to do this OUTSIDE). Our video editing PC almost croaked under the high temperatures while rendering this video ;) We hope to read you in the YouTube comments!
Tomorrow we'll continue working on the next DPE episode, which features a pretty complex and unconventional pattern. In addition to that we have a new Cheat Sheet, a script for yet another DPE episode and the script for the next rhythm training in the works. We're really not running out of ideas :D
