Aphex Twin - T69 Collapse (Drum Pattern No. 55)
Added 2022-05-13 09:02:07 +0000 UTCApparently it's Aphex Twin week here at Beatbunny Studio đđĽ This is our first drum pattern with a five bunny rating (a.k.a. "Nightmare Difficulty") - and deservedly so. It contains Kick/Snare choking, microtiming, odd retrig lengths, substep velocity ramps, a reverse snare and even an instrument-specific 5x tempo multiplier I had to find a workaround for. These first three bars took me a week to transcribe, but it was really worth it! So much to learn from this and lots of material gathered for "Drum Patterns Explained" đ
Oh and this is the first time I needed to make an addendum with more detailed explanations... I created the sound sample with 808 sounds, which I find best to actually hear what's going on. Would be pretty insane for us to do this as an end jam, right? (insert sleep deprived grinning with a hint of madness emoji)

Not yet, we want to save this one for a Drum Patterns Explained episode :) Plus the Syntakt now has portamento - we'll have to bring the project file into shape.
