Aphex Twin - XTAL (Drum Pattern No. 54)

This is my drum pattern transcription in the style of "Aphex Twin - XTAL". It's the opener of his debut album "Selected Ambient Works 85-92" and one of my favourite AFX tracks. The drum pattern is simple compared to his later works, but it features an interesting use of microtiming, mutes and different pitches on the Bass Drum. This pattern is perfect to dip your toes into automation (or parameter locking as it's called on Elektron machines).

The RD-9 and RD-8 unfortunately don't have microtiming, but honestly it's not *that* important for this track. In our "Short History of the 808" video we also omitted the microtimed Kick :)
