Monday transparency report

Hey guys!

Everybody around me keeps telling me I need to get some rest, so I took all of Saturday off – first time I've done that in months. Honestly I ended up just feeling sick and stressed and guilty about not working on the game. But I know it's not productive to never take rest days, so I forced myself to sit around doomscrolling and feeling bad.

I planned to work on Sunday but I just slept through most of the afternoon. Maybe I really am fucked up but I don't realise it. I'm going to try to force in some rest days over the next few weeks, and hopefully it will serve the game better. (I don't actually feel very refreshed from it but maybe it will work 🤷🏻‍♂️)

I've nearly finished coding in the new Lifepath structure and I've started pushing final artwork requirements out to our illustrator lovely Victoria, who has been waiting impatiently for these final specs. There are many new art requirements and we've set up a simple online project management page to keep track of all the assets required and their status. I added the first few specs today so she and I are now working concurrently on the release.

I wanted to say a heartfelt thank you to everybody who's supported Female Agent through this very long period of rebuilding and reïmagination. If it weren't for you guys, this would have taken even fucking longer. I appreciate you so much. FA is for you. 🦀❤️‍🔥

I would recommend going for a longer walk by yourself, or a run. For me that helps a lot with clearing my mind and forcing myself to rest a little.

Glad to hear you're taking some rest; that stuff is really fucking important (as I've had to learn myself, rather painfully) If you don't mind some free advice; In my experience, forcing yourself to 'rest' even when you're having trouble reacting is an important first step, and I think sometimes the only way to really get in that R&R is to force yourself to sit down and do it (which feels deeply ironic) until you get to a mental place where you can truly enjoy and benefit from it; my approach has always been to just try and distract myself until it 'starts working'; but anyway, realizing that you need rest is the important part here. Hope you manage to rest and relax some more, and I'm eagerly, but patiently, looking forward to the next update :)
