Random Encounters beta test!

Greetings, Operator!  Here's a short beta test of a new feature: random encounters at the bar.

Create a new character, then use the shortcut on the first story screen (where she's in her office at the start of the game).

Let me know if this has potential, or if we should stick to just scripting all the barmaid scenes.  🤔

well we can say that some meetings are hot "and deserve to see again (the customer upstairs)", others could very well be a new test of suspicion (old man who only stares). on the whole I hope to see this implemented on each shift by becoming hotter according to the choices made.

Love the random encounters in general. I am curious to know precisely how random they are, and their overall effects in general. However, as per your request for feedback: -It's difficult to say if the randomness *helps* but it does make it feel more like it has potential replayability, I suppose? -It seems that interactions during these can trigger relationship advances with their given customers, would these ever be in danger of you missing out on fun interactions at a later date if the luck of the draw, so to speak, was not with you and you never quite got an interaction with someone? Either way, I -believe- that'll add to replayability to a degree as well. -It definitely seemed like it had it's sexy parts. I do wonder about the interaction with "Mark" being as to how he seems to ruin our operative's nipples, even having masochism doesn't seem to give you any advantage (or disadvantage) during that particular scene. -As for ideas it may spark? It is nice to see these random encounters reference parts of your character's body shape, or maybe even if it references tattoo, i.e. Jacob, making it yet another perfect location to allow an interaction if the character has this tattoo, or even potentially comment on any other tattoos or body modifications your character may have, like a reference to the long nails being built for a stripper, etc. I'll copy-paste this to your discord under your #fa-discussion tab channel for easier reference.

This shows a lot of promise in my opinion! I think it's almost necessary for the game to have a strong replayability factor -- if that's a long term goal. And it opens a lot of modding potential up for the community to create characters/encounters without breaking the main story if that's something you want to facilitate. You could also source characters from the community to slowly trickle into the encounter pool over time? That way you can still focus on main game dev time while sprinkling in thematically appropriate side content. And it might give the more engaged & creative community members something to sink their teeth into.

I do really love the idea of being able to work your way down a chain of consecutive random encounters over several shifts. I would love to have The Nurpler become a recurring antagonist for Kate.

I like this idea. Curious though if you would use thosultiple times in one playthrough or just once you randomly come across it then it's done for that playthrough. In my opinion it would feel weird getting them over and over again. I also think you could build from each of these, like multiple encounters that are slightly different and build off of each one as you come across it. For instance of you had multiple random encounters with the guy who is too rough you can have the initial trigger event, then once that's done the game can now give you another even based on that one at some dandome time in the future.

Judging the new content as a whole its great, it really serves to establish the heroine as a committed barmaid and teases her eventually being a bargirl. Judging the new content specifically on its randomness is a little tricker since I've only played it once. I feel like this is something that you'll only notice on replays or maybe on subsequent work nights (idk if you guys want to use this only for one work night or multiple). I'm a little worried that implementing randomness might detract from moving the story along but assuming that if technically easy I'd be more than happy to see more of it be put into the game!
