We need a bit more time to get ready

Hey guys! I’m sorry to announce that we need a second short extension on 1.12. I was aiming to release it on May 14th, but it’s more likely to come a week or two after that.

What’s the situation?
Two weeks ago, I reported that I wasn’t happy with how the planned sex scenes for 1.12 were turning out. Since then I’ve been working really hard on a rewrite.

The rewrite’s going well: I think you guys are going to like it (and will especially like what it’s setting up in 1.13), but it’s not finished yet.

I expect to finish it next week, but once the writing’s finished I’ll need some time to work with Hyneman and Victoria on coding and artwork. So a release date of the 14th is unlikely…in my head it’s more likely to be the 23rd (best case) or the 30th.

What’s the plan?
MOAR WRITING from tomorrow morning. There are seven scenes in 1.12 (including one nude scene and one sex scene): 4 are done, 1 is nearly done and will be finished tomorrow. Finishing the last two will be my main effort next week.

In the meantime, Victoria is creating art assets and Hyneman is creating code to support these scenes. When the writing’s done, I’ll work with them both to pull it all together, and we’ll get 1.12 out to you as soon as we can!
