1.12 Week 4 report
Added 2021-04-18 20:51:14 +0000 UTCHey guys! This week I finished the prototype of one of the new sex scenes we’re planning to release in 1.12.
I wanted to finish it on Wednesday…but ended up finishing it today. It introduces a few new innovations: mainly a new way to use dice rolls in sex scenes (which affects the whole way the scene is structured and plays out, which is why it took me longer to figure this out than I’d expected).
How is it looking? Well, like Hemingway said, “The first draft of anything is shit.” But, like Luke Skywalker looking into the black heart of Darth Vader: I can sense the good within it.
Next week’s targets are:
1). Make technical progress on avatar rear view. (I need to spend some time working with Jeff & Hyneman to make that happen – I didn’t action that this week because I had my head down in the writing, but I’ll make that my first priority in the morning.)
2). First draft two more sex scenes. (I’m hoping these will move quicker now that the first one’s done.)
3). Improve the first draft of the scene that was finished today.
Okay, that’s it…short report this week, because mostly all I did was write. Hopefully next week I’ll have progress to report on all three tasks above. That’s what I’d like: a smooth, productive week, with no dramas. 😬 Wish me luck.
