Okay, my little technical glitch is resolved and my computer is working again. (Better than before, actually – I get why Bao-Dur wanted to give T3-M4 a memory wipe now. 🤓 )
Today was kind of half a dev day. I got in 5 pomodoros of writing, which is less than I aimed for (but I had to deal with some unexpected compiler problems – now fixed – when I sat down to start).
I also made some progress on an admin task that is unglamorous but important. Our great illustrator Victoria, who is wise and good, produces art faster than I can process and code it into the game.
The process of converting art from raw Illustrator files into working Female Agent avatar graphics is tedious, highly technical, and known only to me. But I'm now working on creating the template files and step-by-step instructions that will allow us to recruit someone else to take over this process.
Doing this feels kind of frustrating, because it's quicker and easier to just do it myself than it is to recruit and train somebody else to do it. But, if I can successfully delegate it, then we can get art into the game faster and free up my time for different tasks. I'll keep you posted.
Okay, that's all for today. Everything's up and working again, so tomorrow will be a full dev day, see you then!
