Hey guys! Thanks for all your encouraging messages on Friday. I did mostly take the weekend off, and I really needed it. The break made me realise that I need to work in a sustainable way – I'm no good to the project if I'm burned out.
Today I went back to basics a little. I got up early and thought strategically about the game – what's the next big step we should take? After some reflection, I feel like we're ready to start Sprint 004.
The objective of Sprint 004 is to release a playable prototype of a new Sex Engine scene. We set up a new Trello to keep track of the dev tasks.
The playable prototype will allow you to experience a sex scene you've already played – the hotel room scene in Dubai, with Max – using the new engine. You'll be able to see the direction we're planning to introduce into the sex scenes, and we can use your feedback to improve our work on the next version.
Today I worked for eight pomodoros on my key task, which is to complete the storyboard for this sex scene. The new sex scenes are much more complex and dynamic than the existing ones, so they need to be planned out more carefully. I loved working on it and made lots of progress.
I'll do more pomodoros on this on my next dev day, which unfortunately will be Wednesday as I have meetings at my real job tomorrow. (Because I was hardly in last week, some stuff piled up which needs attending to.) Have a great tomorrow everybody, I'm so excited to be back after my little break and I can't wait to get this prototype into your hands!
