Pre-release dev day 4

This has been another really good day.  We completed two more of the critical tasks today – that's 12/13 done!  It feels like 1.5 is on target for an early access release (to $5 Patrons+) late GMT Wednesday, with a general release on the 14th August.

Today Tommygun finished coding something cool: persistent glasses.  Geeky agents used to stop wearing glasses after they graduated; now they wear one of five eyeglasses styles during the whole game.  (They can optionally wear contact lenses for the nightclub scenes, and for the date with Max.)

This seems like such a small feature, but I just played through it tonight for the first time and felt like this really humanised my geeky agent.

(For now, only Geek Girl agents get glasses.  In the future, when we implement a perks/flaws system, we'll open this option up to all agents.)

Okay, that's all for now!  Next dev day is tomorrow, see you then.

Thank you very much :) I'll try that :)

I think it's the scene in which you pick your agent's bikini line? If you spam the back button, it should cycle randomly through the glasses. There are 5 designs (the 5th one is very similar to the one she wore in her teens).

Crushstation

I didn't found exactly in which scene I was supposed to spam the back button to "choose" the glasses, could you give me a hint? :)

bio

That would be great yes, and thank you very much for the advice with the back button, I didn't thought about that ^^ I'm hurry to try :)

Right now it's randomly picked (from 5) on the "age 18" passage, but having played it I'm inclined to agree with you that the player should get to choose. We'll probably implement that soon, but in the meantime you can just spam the back button until you get the specs you want. :-)

Crushstation

I totally agree. We're currently doing some cool stuff with hair (some of which will be in the next release – in the dress-up scenes, agents with long hair will be able to switch their hairstyle), but I want to open up hair dyeing to all agents during the Lifepath – there's no reason why a cheerleader can't get highlights, or an intelligence officer can't go blonde.

Crushstation

What about non-Rocker Chicks? Giving a cheerleader highlights is something I think makes sense.

Ho that's really interesting 😊 We will be able to choose the pair she wears or it's random? 😊 (I want to choose 😁)

bio

I doubt we'll get it into the Early Access release, but it will definitely be implemented in the future.

Crushstation

Nice, looking forward to the release! Is hair dyeing for Rocker Chicks not going to be a thing anymore or will that (or something along the way) be re-implemented at a later point?
