Operator cloathes day 3

Hi guys and gals, I hope you had a good weekend.

I was hoping to finish the Operator clothes today.  I'm very close – just the Syria ones to do now – but it's 2200 and I can feel my productivity grinding to a slither.

So I'll get some rest and finish this on the next dev day, which is tomorrow!

Great minds think alike! I've been working with a fan on a storyboard for a complex action scene set in Syria. This will be a military shootout with little opportunity for hand-to-hand combat (think Zero Dark Thirty). In Bangkok the agent will be able to learn Muay Thai and optionally spar (and compete against) other girls. I'm also envisaging on-stage activities at the brothel, like oil wrestling, which will make (mild) use of the fighting engine! More seriously, of course, the agent may get in fights during her mission if something goes wrong. Having skill levels in martial arts will unlock special options during fight scenes (for example, an agent who knows Krav Maga will be able to try and put an opponent in a wrist lock). She'll still need to make skill rolls to pull off these special moves, so they won't just be a "win button" in fights – the player will have to make strategic decisions along the lines of "Do I hit the guy, or go for a wrist lock which is trickier to pull off but could end the fight?"

May we peek just one outfit?

Speaking of Syria, do you have an idea of how combat encounters are going to be handled? What all is going to be calculated? Obviously physique, weapons, and armor. But how are things like Martial Arts xp and other stats going to figure into the SURPS Engine? Just curious. Btw, Syria could be an opportune time to place a sample combat encounter.

We’re trying to have the stuff she wears in Scotland also be stuff she can bring to Bangkok, for continuity.

It’s a small choice of options for each nightclub; similar to the Dubai choice between two dresses and various accessories. It’s supposed to represent clothes that a backpacker might conceivably have in her bag (so there are a couple of nice dresses she can wear to Corinthian, and more casual stuff she can wear to the other clubs - denim shorts, a denim miniskirt, some yoga shorts that work as hotpants, stuff like that).

How big will the Operation LIONESS wardrobe be? You've mentioned earlier that we'll be able to dress up the agent before the missions, but not what options we'll have. Unless I've missed something.
