Saturday sprint report

Sprint target: release 1.5 (avatar upgrade)
Days worked: 34/31 | Pomodoros logged: 286
Task points completed: 108/248

Yet more avatar clothes today and yesterday.  Victoria is drawing cool new stuff, I'm reworking existing art assets so they fit on the new body shapes.

As previously explained, production of HD avatar clothes is taking a lot longer than anticipated.  My plan is to draw as many more as I can tomorrow and Monday.  At the end of the day on Monday I'll release a Beta version to $5+ Patrons, so they can check out the following implemented features:

On Monday I'll also post a detailed report of what avatar clothes are done, and what remains to be done.  I'll work on that solidly, reporting daily until all the required clothes are in the game, then we'll finish the remaining critical dev tasks and get 1.5 out.

Upgrading to bigger boobs is a frequent request and will definitely be implemented. The precise details have yet to be worked out but I think an elegant way to do it would be: 1). Agents upgrading to an existing boob size (e.g. going from B to DD) use the existing DD artwork *but* only use the "DD boobs in bra" art, even if she's topless, to reflect their gravity-defying nature. 2). Agents going bigger than E/size 6 get all new artwork and a new line of clothes specifically drawn for stripper tits. The agent is told that none of her tops or bras fit her anymore, so she needs to buy new stuff. This is just my line of thought at present and is subject to change.

On the subject of body mods, breast implants are planned right? Have you thought much on how you'll implement them? Will they have multiple sizes and their own distinct gravity-defying shape or something less ambitious? I'm worried that if it's the former, you might OD on boobs again trying to update all the clothing options.

It's mostly only a pain because we have to do them all at once. The new HD clothes look so much better that I want to do moar of them, not fewer. :-) (I'll try and include some comparison images in my big update post tomorrow.) One of the reasons this new round of clothing is taking time is that we're creating assets that we can reuse in future clothing designs (e.g. the swimsuit I drew yesterday copies underboob gradients and nipple pokies from an earlier t-shirt design). Part of my vision for Bangkok is that the agent can acquire *lots* of clothes, jewellery, makeups, hairstyles, body mods, etc. I feel that the change to the agent's look is important to reflect the "undercover" element of the story, and also demonstrates part of the character journey (e.g. her look changes over time from "CIA badass" to "stripper/whore"). Changes to avatar clothes are also really elegant ways to set a scene without increasing the word count, so I plan to make extensive use of them during Kink Vignettes and other prologue scenes.

Has the change in workflow for the HD avatar changed how you consider clothing additions in the future? As I imagine a simple 'we could add a fun outfit in the prologue' has become much more work.
