At the start of a new project you set the direction for everything that follows.  I've spent most of my time so far creating a master list of every avatar clothing and art asset we'll need for version 1.5: it's surprisingly complex (and honestly a little boring and frustrating) but I'm doing it first because having it will make the rest of the sprint easier to manage.  Working on it has forced me to achieve mental clarity in some fuzzy areas.

Meanwhile, Victoria has been investigating how feasible "selectable avatar butt shapes" are going to be: she's produced some concept artwork that looks great!  Her concept allows three choices: square-shaped, heart-shaped and bubble butt.

Unfortunately, each shape requires changes to the avatar's hips and thighs, so implementing this means we'll have to create three different versions of almost every lower body clothing item.  Again, she's tackling this first as it will have an impact on many subsequent tasks.

We'll keep you posted on how this works out – it's possible we'll have to push this feature back, or extend the sprint to include it, but we'll do our best.

Next dev day is Wednesday 13th, but I'll keep working on the asset list in my spare moments between now and then.  There are 40 task points being worked on concurrently.

Thanks, Toad, that's interesting analysis and I passed this onto Victoria. Yes, that butt shape diagram is similar to the one she showed me, and yeah it was her decision not to include the V shape :-)

I'm glad to hear you are changing the hips, I sort of assumed that was going to be included in the "selectable butt shapes" though I suppose technically it doesn't have to be the case. Personally, I think it will be nice to be able to vary the hip width because when the current agent's body has the largest breasts she looks very unbalanced, like she'll topple over at any moment. Now we'll be able to pick three very distinct body types with variations in between: <ul><li>A very slender body with narrow hips (square-shaped butt) and small breasts</li><li>A more average body and a fit, bubble butt (round-shaped) and medium sized breasts</li><li>A "womanly" body with large breasts and wide hips ("heart-shaped" or "pear-shaped" or "inverted-heart" butt).</li></ul> This would still of course allow for a top-heavy or even a bottom-heavy agent as well, which is great.
