Slowing down for a couple of days
Added 2018-10-22 18:00:02 +0000 UTCHey guys! My dog is really unwell, and is likely to have to be put down if the new meds he's on don't have a good effect tomorrow. I am officially a Sad Crab.
I will continue to work on the game when he's asleep, but development is likely to slow down for the next few days whatever happens (e.g. today I was only able to do 2 pomodoros).
Thanks to everybody who has sent me kind words, both here and in private messages. I really appreciated them all. :-)
Finally, I want to acknowledge that we're a community of 820 Patrons and thousands of fans. Some of you will be going through worse things than losing a pet right now, and I want to assure all of you that dev work on the game will continue and the Beta will be delivered soon.
None of us get to stop working just because we're sad, and I wouldn't dream of taking your support for granted by taking a long break over this. Patrons, I see all of you guys as my bosses – the best 820 bosses I ever had – and I promise to get back to my normal work rate as soon as I can.

2018-10-28 12:19:47 +0000 UTCI am so sorry to hear that you had to him to sleep. We had to put down our family dog a few years ago and that hurt alot even though since she was almost 16 years old we knew the end was coming.

I cry absolutely every time I read it, but I go back to it each time I've had to make this heart wrenching decision. In answer to his question, yes, it's worth it, but it hurts so much when we reach that point. Sorry if this is rambling, trying to to put it into words without turning into a completely weepy mess.

Even if he does come right, you won't regret having done it when you get back. All my love and best wishes are going to you and him both <3
