The story as set up is limited to agents from countries that are part of the UKUSA (Five Eyes) agreement: the US, UK, Canada, Australia & New Zealand.
Now we've hit the funding target, we intend to introduce some new nationalities into the mix. The story justification will be that she's lent to Five Eyes by her home agency, so the new nationalities have to be Western allies. In addition, until we introduce new ethnicities, she should be caucasian.
That still covers a lot of countries, including:
- Belgium
- Denmark
- France
- Germany
- Ireland
- Israel
- Italy
- Netherlands
- Norway
- Poland
- Portugal
- Spain
- Sweden
- etc

Israel... but dont add to many nations, i'd say you should focus on the game/story first with the 5 nations we now have and add others later when the game is finished... as "bonus" content for example :-)

Maybe add 1 every two versions released, depending on the content being worked on. As a Swede I do however add my vote for my native Sweden to be among the first.

2018-10-16 22:42:00 +0000 UTCI'd have to echo Kendall9000 about being careful about adding too much. The thing I see the most that slows down or halts production are too many options. Either too many branching choices or decisions to keep track of in a CYOA story kill a game that tries to account for all of them, or having too many character options forces descriptions to be cut down to the barebones. Having 17+ nationalities means that the little details that make this game great, such as the Scots hating a British player or being able to use your MI6 clearance to get out of a speeding ticket, won't continue to be in the game to the degree they already are.

I've seen the development of a few 'sandbox' games get bogged down with 9000 different options for character creation and initial set up. I don't think anything should be rushed, but I'd suggest that most people will care more about story content than being able to make their agent Belgian rather than British...

Creating a plausible scenario for someone from an Asian intelligence agency to work with FIVE EYES without some hidden agenda by one of the parties involved is probably infeasible.
