A pomodoro is a 25-minute block of focused work. I promised to do at least 10 per week when the first funding goal was reached.
Pomodoros I-XI
Moar Lifepath work. Big day today! I coded Skill Families into the game, so an agent who is already a good dancer will get a bonus when she tries to learn a new type of dance style. (That's cheerleading at the moment, but this is in preparation for a pole dancing audition scene later, of course...)
I also coded in the game's first skill roll – the roll that American & Canadian agents can make to see if they make the tryouts for the cheerleading squad. It's a complex roll, taking into account all kinds of physical and psychological traits, the agent's dancing skill, and whether she's a part of any high school cliques (popular Alpha Females and sporty Star Athletes get a bonus, unconventional Rock Chicks and uncool Geek Girls get a penalty).
To keep things simple, the game just displays a percentage chance of success beside any decision that requires a skill roll, so you always know how much of a gamble you're taking without needing to drill into your character's exact stats and skills. But I've also put in a small link beside it, which walks you through the exact formula used, so those of you who want to learn exactly how the game system works can follow along.
