Tech update: setting up on Github

Hyneman has joined Mötley Crüe! No, wait, that's wrong. Hyneman has joined our motley crew!
(Note to readers who aren't on our Discord channel: Hyneman's avatar there is a walrus! Ho ho.)
Over the past couple of weeks, Hyneman has been familiarising himself with the game's source code. As well as being a big fan of the game, he's a more experienced coder than I am, and he's already made some useful improvements:
- Several bug fixes.
- Reduced duplication of code in the different Sex Engine scenes, by organising the code better: this cut about 3,000 lines of flabby code, and also made future updates to the Sex Engine easier.
- Written a new macro, which removes the need to manually code in the location to every passage, and also creates a framework for automatic adjustment to arousal levels for Exhibitionist agents when they're in public (instead of that being hand coded), which will save time in every future update.
The really big strategic thing he's done is set up a Female Agent Github repository. This means that, instead of being stored in folders on my hard drive, the game's source code is now centrally stored on a version controlled repository in the cloud. This makes it possible for different people to work concurrently on the code without causing conflicts, and will professionalise version control, which should mean you get new game versions faster and with fewer bugs.
What a superb walrus.
I noticed that too. The cause for the problem is that the images are not included within the html file which you downloaded, but instead are hosted on a third party website for adult images - pixxxels.org - and are loaded via the internet as you play. However, mentioned website is currently down for everyone. So there is not much Crushstation can do about it, at least not right away.

Fairly significant bug at present: none of the character images appear to be working at present, all of the in text ones such as briefing etc. are working fine though

I hadn't actually thought about making the source code generally accessible (for QC reasons), but that's a *really* interesting idea. I'm definitely not opposed to the idea of opening the game up for people to mod.

Great news, indeed! Do you plan to give access to other potential contributors (such as me)?

Great news. The reduce duplication will help keep everything more consistent too.

Poor Jamie. He's never going to hear the end of it, is he...
