State of the game update

Hey guys!  I’m sorry this update has taken so much longer than I promised.  Building the Sex Engine turned out to be a much more complicated task than I was imagining.  I’ve been working on it solidly for weeks, and the Sex Engine alone weighs in at 20,449 words and 3,746 lines of code.  I also had to rewrite the base game’s avatar and clothing systems from scratch.

Still, the good news is…it’s now working, at least enough to show it off!  $5 Patrons now have access to a playable demo of it, and I look forward to receiving their feedback.  It’s not as developed as, say, Newlife, but I intend to improve it steadily over the next weeks and months.

I could have gotten out a quick and dirty update sooner – obviously, writing one sex scene does not require 20,449 words and 3,746 lines of code – but the support and encouragement of my Patrons has made me believe that this project deserves better than quick and dirty updates.  I hope that, by building a Sex Engine instead of writing a sex scene, I’ve paved the way for more faster and more versatile updates in future.

Although I still think that decision was correct, I think the way I’ve worked over this past fortnight has been really bad, and I need to improve a lot.  Starting tomorrow, I’m going to post dev updates more frequently on this page, updating you guys on what I’m doing – for example, the next task is rewriting the avatar and clothing systems in the base game, so they’re compatible with the Sex Engine.  I hope to finish that tomorrow, but if I don’t, I’ll let you guys know.

Version 1.2 of Female Agent is coming as soon as I can code it!  I will keep you guys updated.  In the meantime, I would like all Patrons to know that your support is all that got me through the last couple of weeks.  Thank you so much for your faith in the project, you guys were a light in the darkness to me.
