11th July 2025: A new BGC (Base Game Compatible) version is now available for players who don’t own all packs. EA recently changed how the game handles missing packs, which causes an UnavailablePackResource LE error if you’re missing some DLC. If you see this error, download midnitetech_NoteworthyNotebook_BGC and PackAddons, then delete the PackAddons files for any packs you don’t own.
Important:
- Only use this version if you’re missing some DLCs, and be sure to delete midnitetech_NoteworthyNotebook if you already have it.
- If you own all packs, stick with the regular version (1st July update midnitetech_NoteworthyNotebook) – it’s already up to date for you.

8th June 2025: New Setting: Added the option to Unlock All Book Genres, removing EA’s mood, career, and skill restrictions—just like in Write Books Overhaul! • Find it under Notebook Settings. • Disabled by default, so you can play your way. Updated genre display names to match the new style: • Energized ➜ Action & Adventure • Playful ➜ Rom-Com Writing Competition improvements: • All competition genres now show up in their own dedicated pie menu under the Notebook (only while active). • No more scrolling to reread the original notification! • Competition notifications are now clearer and easier to follow.
25th April 2025: Reduced time to write a Notebook Original (reduced further once your Sim gets better at writing), added a couple of tuning clarifications.
10th March 2025: Added the two new books from Business & Hobbies (not required), along with a new publishing option for Notebook Originals! Sims can now submit their handwritten pages to an Indie Publisher via the mailbox for a chance at a one-time payout! Also tidied up some string files and tuning files.
25th February 2025: Updated tuning for new patch.
7th February 2025: Replaced script file with 📁midnitetech_modlibrary. Delete all my script files except midnitetech_RenameWorlds.ts4script (if you have it).

(UnavailablePackSafeResourceError), CategoryID: definition_manager:318 also the same for midnitetech:Notebook_recipe_Book_Horror midnitetech:Notebook_recipe_Book_Manual_Pottery midnitetech:Notebook_recipe_Book_Manual_Tattooing midnitetech:Notebook_recipe_Book_Manual_RomanceSkill These are all for packs I dont have. I have updated all the resources (Notebook mod, Lot51 core library and midnitetech mod library) This only started happening since the patch. so I think it now doesnt ignore packs you dont have anymore (I dont have Life and Death, Lovestruck, or businesses and hobbies EP's)

I just found out the competitions exists when I tried the aspiration from this mod (I mainly use your mod for reminders/noting plants because I hate using a separate notepad just for these). I'm clicking the mailbox, but it's only showing the option to unsubscribe from competitions or send a love letter. i think I should be able to send the book from the "Originals" through the mail right? Can you help me out?

For example, I can write any genre at any level on the computer with the write books overhaul, but I seem to be locked to the base game's skill level unlocking with the notebook. Is there a way to have an add-on to add the changes to the notebook as well? No worries if not!
