Despite being able to breathe underwater, they still air tanks and gill regulators, as waters are very often contaminated, murky, which is not healthy to inhale in long term, not that they live long enough to experience health issues later.
This gal here is also equipped with experimental ultrasound goggles provided by WSG for field testing. Good on paper, but in action these cause a lot of confusion, nausea and friendly fire.
